The updated WATIRO rate manual, approved September 25, 2026 and effective October 5, 2026, is now available. The manual revises Chapter 4.05, adds the ALTA JR 1 and ALTA JR 2 endorsements and their associated rates in Chapter Six, and updates the ALTA Residential Limited Coverage Junior Loan Policy and ALTA Short Form Residential Limited Coverage Junior Loan Policy forms.

The ALTA JR 1 and ALTA JR 2 endorsements are authorized solely for use with an ALTA Residential Limited Coverage Junior Loan Policy and may not be issued with any other policy. See Chapter 4.05 of the rate manual.

The Washington Title Insurance Rating Organization (WATIRO) represents licensed title insurance underwriters operating across Washington State. WATIRO prepares and files collective rates, standard policy coverage forms, and rating rules with the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC).
